I have been working at the intersection of design and technology for over 20 years. Currently I work as an instructional designer, and a “Jill of many trades” including; Graphic Design, Voice Acting, and serve as a Graphic Design Instructor. I also write help documentation, create and voice eLearning demonstrations or explainer videos, and work with UX design teams to help real people use real interfaces. I am always using my creative powers for good, inspiring and supporting others along the way. I tend to work with one client at a time in a focused dedicated manner, and the case studies below reflect some my most recent efforts. Missing from this portfolio of case studies are the many clients I have helped with presenting proprietary, internal information that could not be shared including VISA, Google, and IBeam Broadcasting.
John Bates is the charismatic thought leader and trainer behind Live Like a Leader. I was tasked with the Website redesign, graphics for power point presentations, graphic design of marketing postcards and handouts, lead magnets, landing pages, and the eLearning experience. Initial wireframes of the site were created using Invision and Figma. Final assets produced in Adobe software and exported in workable asset formats for the developer. Slide deck concepts were shared in Google Slides and exported as Power Point decks. Postcards, brochures and shareable PDF were produced in InDesign. The Speak Like a Leader online course was created in the Teachable LMS environment.

ConveYour software is a SAAS micro-learning platform designed to deliver training content to audiences via SMS and email. I supported UI/UX engineers in rethinking the logic and user flow for the software. In addition, I wrote how-to documentation and recorded around 150 training videos on how to use the software. I assisted multiple ConveYour clients with getting their micro-learning programs going, answered questions, and built multi-level engagements for their learners within ConveYour.

Classic Window Coverings launched another product and brand offering that was automated, based in the latest technology, and required differentiation from the Classic Window Coverings brand. Thus, Shade on Demand was born. I developed the branding program for Shade on Demand, managed the design and development of the website, designed tradeshow graphics, banners, print materials, and created sticker and in-store signage.

Graphic Design and Identity Program for Captain Possible, LLC. Captain Possible launched a building and remodel business during the economic downturn of 2008. The business needed something approachable and memorable in order to stand out. We developed the brand Captain Possible to invite clients to consider the work of Pauly Anderson to be super-hero worthy, but also to convey that he would be a joy to work with as a general contractor. I created give-aways to be handed out at local markets for the brand launch including shopping bags, stickers, and a comic book. Golden tickets were created to incentivize clients to work with Pauly on an initial project, in order to get to know the quality of work Captain Possible offers. In addition, a large logo decal for the vehicle trailer was also created to create in-neighborhood visibility. This company launched and survived on the the biggest economic melt-downs the building trades had ever witnessed. The company still thrives today offer quality, craftsmanship, and a fun process in remodel and build projects.

Janae Whittaker Ali needed help with a book layout, logo, branding study, and website. After many discussions, branding study, and gaining a deep understanding of her audience and preferences I produced a book layout, organized a photoshoot for the book cover concept, designed the initial website and produced logo assets in easy-to-use formats.
